Kallpa watches haul roads, berms and loadouts to find mobile equipment hazards. It is built so that it does not need to know who anyone is. This page says what we collect, where it lives and when we delete it.
What the cameras send us
- The Kallpa agent runs on a PC at your pit. It reads your camera streams there and blurs every face before any video leaves the site.
- We receive hazard events: the time, camera, zone, object types, distances and speeds. We also receive a short blurred clip of each event.
- Live video stays on your site PC. We do not record or store continuous video.
What we never collect
- Face recognition data, names, badge numbers or any other identifier for a miner.
- Audio.
- Video from cameras or areas you have not set up as hazard zones.
How long we keep it
- Event clips: 14 days, unless you attach a clip to an accident record.
- Event records: for as long as your written safety program needs them, then deleted when you close your account.
- Account data for the people who sign in: name, work email and role, kept while the account is open.
How events may be used
Events support your mobile equipment safety program, training and site changes. Our customer contract forbids using Kallpa events to discipline an individual miner.
Who can see your data
Your users, and anyone you send a read only link to, such as an MSHA inspector or your insurance carrier. Links expire and appear in your audit trail. We do not sell data.
